  1. Mylien Verboom

    Financial controller

  2. How long have you been here?

    Since January 2013, it's been a whirlwind!

  3. What attracted you to join?

Anthony Levy! What an inspirational leader…
I love getting involved in the challenges and rewards a start-up business brings. In my 20+ years of international finance, I feel most at home here. It's the biggest buzz being part of such a passionate management team. Bring it on …

  4. What drives you in business?

Being part of a team that brings results through innovation and motivation to the business. My passion is to bring first class management reporting to the team in order to drive the business forward.

  5. What qualifies you to do the job you do?

I have over 20 years of international financial experience mostly in FTSE 100 companies. I have a good knowledge of asian culture. I speak several languages, which is helpful in both business and personal life. I am ACCA trained and have a BA Honours in Business and Finance.

  6. Who is your biggest professional influencer and why?

My mum is a great business woman and she is my idol. She got me into accounting at a young age - I remember helping her totting up the books at the age of 7. Her best saying is "you can always deliver a negative message in a positive way". I just love that.

  7. What do you do in your spare time?

I have two beautiful kids which I don’t think I spend enough time with (so they tell me). I want to get back to reading again too. My first cook book 'Viet-Chung Infusion' took a lot of my spare time. I need to make time to finish off my second cook book which features Chinese & Vietnamese vegan dishes. I would like to do more travelling and take the kids on hiking trips at the weekends. I have done extensive travelling during my time in Asia… next destination is Cuba.

  8. If you could turn back time and do one thing differently what would it be?

I would have liked to stay out in Asia longer. I love it out there and enjoy being a part of our international growth.

  9. Why did you chose this photo of you?

This photo reminds me of a memorable company party!
